Is there an inner musician in you that’s bursting to come out?

I want to help both children and adults express their hearts through music. You will learn fun and easy techniques for growing your skills on the piano, and you will learn how to use music as an integral part of your devotionals and worship. So, no matter what your level of skill, I can help you learn to play the basic chord structure of any worship song. From that foundation, you can add your own unique artistry to the song and play from your heart. You can also develop your skills to mimic sounds and rhythms you hear others play.

I’ve developed a unique program designed to quicken the learning process. One key component of my program is teaching you how to teach yourself and quickly learn and/or write the music that interests you. Music theory will be woven into everything you do, but it will be in a practical format. You will have knowledge of theory gained by application and not just memorizing information. Finally, you will be more likely to practice piano if you enjoy what you are playing. Thus, your skills will develop more rapidly.

Please note that regular access to a piano or keyboard/synthesizer is recommended for students in this particular program.

What you will learn:

  • Basic music theory that crosses over into other instruments
  • How to play basic and syncopated rhythms without starting and stopping
  • Proper hand positioning and technique
  • Scales and easy training exercises
  • How to start playing immediately using chords
  • How to play spontaneously in a improvisational style with melodic riffs and varied chord progressions

Lesson agenda:

  • Last session review
  • New concepts, chords and skills
  • New worship song introduction
