Do you desire to create atmospheres with your worship using many rhythms and sounds?

You will learn fun and easy techniques for growing your skills on your electronic instrument and for expressing a heart for worship through your music. I want to unleash your creative potential using the vast options of a synthesizer and drum machine. No matter what your level of skill, I can help you learn to play the basic chord structure of any worship song. From that foundation, you can add your own unique artistry to the song and play from your heart. You can also develop your skills to mimic sounds and rhythms you hear others play.

I’ve developed a unique program designed to quicken the learning process. One key component of my program is teaching you how to teach yourself and quickly learn and/or compose music that interests you. Music theory will be woven into everything you do, but it will be in a practical format. You will have knowledge of theory gained by application and not just memorizing information. Finally, you will be more likely to practice if you can leverage the potential of your instrument and you enjoy what you are playing. Thus, your skills will develop more rapidly.

Please note that regular access to a piano or keyboard/synthesizer is recommended for students in this particular program.

What you will learn:

  • Key terminology for understanding your instrument and owner’s manual
  • Different functions of your instrument to create, modify and combine tones or sounds of musical instruments by means of keyboards, pedals, sliders and knobs
  • Practical experience operating the different functions on your own instrument (or learn on my Roland Fantom G-7 and digital groove box)
  • Basic music theory that crosses over into other instruments
  • How to play basic and syncopated rhythms without starting and stopping
  • Proper hand positioning and technique
  • How to play keyboard along with a band
